South Johnstone State School students in Years 5 and 6 study Japanese as a second language.

On the the 20th April 2017, Miki Greene from the Cairns School of Distant Education visited our school.  During this visit the students tasted Japanese Miso Soup and rice crackers with wasabi, cheese, almonds and sea weed.

The girls also dressed up in kimono's which they really enjoyed.  It was an excellent day; thanks to Miki for giving the students this opportunity.
